Who are we? Well that's a fair question; KindlePress is a division of Marric Digital Ltd - a business already involved with electronic publishing from subjects as diverse as BioDiesel preparation through to adult material - and quite a range of subjects in between. The main driving forces behind KindlePress are Richard Jahn and Guy Tibbert - two people based in Northamptonshire who became painfully aware how time consuming and problematic digital publishing can be for the uninitiated.
After managing to get their own material published and finding effective ways to stimulate sales with decent search engine optimization feeding through to the sales outlets, it seemed like a simple win-win style business could be established helping other authors get into print - WITHOUT having to go down the Vanity Press route - or indeed face endless rejection letters.

AFFECTING ALL MEMBERS
Lineisp.co.uk was a jointly run venture with
Griffin Internet and Line Interactive. For
many years it has been operating at a loss
and I was suddenly given very short
notice that our hosting / email / webspace
was coming to an end. I tried to contact
members by email but the admin panel
which gave me access to email addresses
was just no longer working.
I am truly very sorry that members have had this happen
but there is nothing I am able to do to keep the site
running at the moment. No more signups can be
taken and dial-up access is likely to end imminently
if not already. I am trying to find a new host
for the site - and will update this page as and
when I can offer something of use.
UPDATE
The domain will keep running for the time
being in order that emails can be forwarded
to the few members we have been able to reach
on other email addresses. I was trying to install a
couple of subdomains on for people too but these are
proving very unreliable at present.
Regrettable, there is little that can be done when
your hosting company - Griffin Internet - abandons you with
almost no notice whatsoever. The best that can
be done for now is mail forwarding for those with simple
email addresses - eg: example@lineisp.co.uk - complex
ones - eg: gladys.example@lineisp.co.uk are not
working at present. If you want a simple address
forwarding, it costs £5 for 3 months or £10 for a year.
Contact support@lineisp.co.uk if you need this.
I can TRY to sort out hosting for you so you can
re-publish here BUT it is no longer free hosting and
there will be a one-off charge of £150 to set sub-domains
up and an ongoing charge of £50 per annum for the
actual hosting, providing bandwidth is under
1 GB per month on average.
I am sorry this is not free - but the free hosting is
no longer open to me - and I need to cover my costs
for hosting, time and technical support.
If you wish instead, you can send me a jpg banner with
a URL to forward people to, I will place this on the
main page so people can still find you. I will do that
free for 1 month - and £5 a month therafter.
Sorry folks, about three weeks ago I had no idea ANY of
this was going to happen. I am doing what I can as
quickly as I can.
